QSR Franchisee Expands Digital Menu Board Deployment

Digital Signage Expo:

WAND Corp. has announced that a Minnesota-based Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) franchisee now has more than 30 of its 59 sites running the company’s indoor and outdoor digital menu boards. According to Eden Prairie, Minn.-based WAND, this widespread adoption amounts to what is believed to be the largest use of indoor and outdoor digital menu board technology by any single QSR franchisee.

In addition to the chain’s seven existing sites, WAND recently deployed digital menu boards at 25 more sites. WAND did not identify the franchisee.

QSR operations are always searching for ways to improve restaurant operations and encourage return trips to the counter through the use of restaurant technology. Both Nation’s Restaurant News, at the annual Foodservice Technology Conference, and QSR Magazine recently recognized WAND for its development of innovative digital menu board technology.

“When Digital Menu Board technology came into the market several years ago, many QSR operators were eager to test the technology,” said Greg Perrill, COO WAND Corp. “We now see major QSR brands planning for system wide deployments.”
