Camp Bow Wow, the nation’s largest pet services company, has been named to Entrepreneur’s Franchise 500 for 2011.
The privately held company is ranked #394 out of 500 in the comprehensive list of successful franchise businesses, #72 in its list of fastest-growing franchises and #88 in the rank of low-cost franchises.
Advancing over fifty spots from its ranking of #445 in 2010, the company is a $50 million dollar leader in the $50 billion dollar pet industry. Camp Bow Wow was founded in 2000, began franchising in 2003, and has since demonstrated a positive growth rate, maintaining 20 percent growth year over year. In total, Camp Bow Wow has sold more than 200 franchises in 39 states and one in Canada, with over 41 percent being women-owned and 40 percent owning more than one unit.
Camp Bow Wow’s franchisees are supported by the brand’s multi-million dollar national and regional marketing and advertising campaigns, receiving operational support not only from the franchisor company, but also from fellow franchisees.
