New York City’s first Smashburger will be coming to 80 DeKalb Avenue in Fort Greene, a block and a half from Junior’s and a block from the Brooklyn Hospital Center. Scheduled to open in mid-April, it will be the first of three Smashburgers in the Downtown Brooklyn/Fort Greene area, according to the franchisee, Jim Denburg.
“It will be a classic Smashburger, except we’ll be offering the Brooklynburger,†said Mr. Denburg, 45.

“We’re working out exactly what will be on the Brooklynburger,†he said.
