Firehouse Subs Donates Life-Saving Equipment To Trailer Estates VFD

Bradenton Herald:

Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation recently awarded much-needed bunker gear worth $16,200 to the Trailer Estates Volunteer Fire Department. This bunker gear will replace outdated and non-compliant gear, providing firefighters with a safe uniform to better serve the community. Since 2005, Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation has donated more than $1 million to public safety entities in the state of Florida.

“You never know when you or someone close to you will be personally impacted by the life-saving capabilities of a first responder,” said Patrick Ryan, franchisee of the Bradenton location. “These heroes deserve the best tools, training and technology and our Foundation is here to help make that happen.”

Each restaurant recycles leftover, five-gallon pickle buckets and sells them to customers. Donation canisters on register counters explain the nonprofit’s mission and collect spare change.
