Steve’s Pizza To Reopen Its EDH Eatery?

El Dorado Hills Telegraph:

The “temporarily closed” notice posted in early February on the entry doors at Steve’s Pizza in El Dorado Hills that indicated a reopening in less than two weeks finally will switch to “open for business” in about a month.

“It’s taken a little longer than I anticipated but we have a lease in hand for our franchisee who’s going to open the store in 30 to 40 days from now, he’s telling me,” said Will Glennie, owner of parent company Steve’s Franchise Corporation, based in the Laguna area of Elk Grove.

The pizza parlor has been in the Raley’s shopping center more than 10 years. Glennie doesn’t know “specifically” why it’s taken so long for the store to reopen. “It’s taken the current landlord some time,” he said. “Sometimes when someone moves out there might be liens or other encumbrances with the property that the landlord is responsible for taking care of.

“I’m assuming there was some hang up there, but the bottom line is it always takes longer than we anticipate when a store goes dark,” he said.
