People in small business in Macarthur who have thought about buying into a franchise should go into it with their eyes wide open and their head firmly screwed on if they are to succeed, says Campbelltown franchisee Tracy Richardson.
Ms Richardson and her husband helped start up a booming national franchise that supplied entertainment solutions to pubs and clubs throughout the region and she said they were well aware of the sector’s benefits and pitfalls.
She said franchising had become increasingly popular and it allowed people some of the flexibility of running their own business with the extra backing and resources of a large company.
“It’s the fastest-growing sector of any business sector and it’s just getting bigger and bigger all the time,” Ms Richardson said.
