‘30 Rock’ Episode Helps Inventor

WKYC.com:

The plot line of a recent NBC’s “30 Rock” seemed to take a page from Cleveland inventor Phil Davis’ playbook.

On “30 Rock,” Alec Baldwin’s character Jack Donaghy spent the episode searching for the right name for his new small, portable microwave.

In real life, Davis named his invention the iWavecube and has been selling his invention online.

“I couldn’t quite figure out why our web traffic had suddenly and significantly increased Friday. It was up by 400 percent,” Davis said.

“Obviously, upon reflection, people came to our website looking for the Fun Cooker after Googling small, portable microwave. And once there, fortunately for our company, they placed orders for the iWavecube.”

“I am forever indebted to Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin.”
