Wash & Coffee is a new laundromat and social gathering place which opened earlier this year near Munich, Germany, reports PSFK.com.
The new laundry and cafe has a clean design and provides lots of amenities for customers. Foremost though they are serious about making sure the process of cleaning clothes is handled well. Wash & Coffee is outfitted with energy efficient programmable washers and dryers from Bosch.
They stock sustainably produced detergent products from Persil. The staff is dedicated to answering laundry questions and providing tips to properly care for clothing.
While laundry is being done, customers can relax in the lounge and order drinks or snacks from the cafe. The cafe offers a menu of coffee and teas. They also serve fresh bagels and salads.
Wash & Coffee have built an interesting online presence, especially for a laundromat. They have a blog which announces upcoming events, a newsletter, and of course social media outreach on Facebook.
Laundromats are very much community places but most haven’t evolved in thirty years. It’s interesting to see how Wash & Coffee has transformed the experience from a chore to a comfortable local social spot.
