GenSan Adopts “Negosyo, Kaya Mo”

The Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) here will be on center stage once again come the Yaman GenSan, an annual business month celebration of General Santos City, the “Tuna Capital of the Philippines.”

Organizers of the Yaman GenSan (YG) adopted the theme “Negosyo…Kaya Mo,” a concept to lure Mindanao-wide entrepreneurs to invest in the city will kick off on June 23 until July 23.

According to DTI XII Assistant Regional Director Doris Delima the event is a tribute of the City Government, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Council (SMEDC) to the city’s economic backbone—the micro, small and medium entrepreneurs.

With the promise to be this year’s “grandest,” Yaman (Yabong Maliliit na Negosyo) GenSan, now on its 7th year, will showcase various noteworthy events. Among these are the CLEEP Caravan (Comprehensive Livelihood & Emergency Employment Program on June 25-30), and Jobs Fair (July 6-7). Read on…
