A Hooters restaurant is expected to open on the Boardwalk at Fifth Street by mid-June.
The Worcester County Board of License Commissioners has granted a liquor license to Hooters of the Boardwalk, for a planned restaurant at Fifth Street on the Boardwalk. The board also asked that Hooters not serve alcohol after 10 p.m., and the owners agreed to the restriction.
The ownership group, led by John Brocato of Atlantic Beach, Fla., also own the Hooters at 123rd Street in the resort, he said. The other three franchise partners are Brocato’s father and two sisters.
The restaurant has a targeted opening of June 15, and will be open seven days a week in season. It will seat 500 people indoors and 80 outdoors. The family’s existing Hooters franchise in North Ocean City seats 299, including seats on a deck.
