Market Watch:
MotherProof.com, the new-car automotive advice site written for moms, by moms, launched a revamped website today to deliver a better online experience to the fastest-growing segment of auto consumers: women.
“The new site furthers MotherProof.com’s mission of providing unbiased, practical new-car reviews and information from a mom’s perspective,” said Kristin Varela, “Chief Mom” and senior editor of the site. “Women purchase more than 50 percent of new cars and influence 85 percent of all car sales. Our car reviews look not only at safety and comfort, but also on how much space is available and what special features work best for families.”
Key upgrades to the site include simplified navigation that allows women to search for cars that best fit their children’s life stages.
“Mom’s car needs can vary widely based on family make-up. The needs of an expectant mother looking to install her first child safety seat and the mom whose 17 year old is asking for the keys are completely different,” Varela said. “Now moms can search specifically for vehicles that best cater to new moms, moms with school-aged children or moms with teenagers.”
