‘Work From Home’ Workshop Aimed At Women

New Haven Register:

Women looking to supplement their income in a down economy can get a wealth of information at the upcoming “Want to Work From Home? Find the Right Fit” workshop.

Kim DeYoung, a local business coach and founder of Metromom.com, is hosting an event featuring six panelists who run profitable, direct sales companies — some full time, some part time.

Some women now find themselves with jobs that no longer provide a sufficient income because of inflation and other factors, she said, while others have been laid off. There are moms who want to stay home with their children but would struggle to keep up with credit card and other bills.

“I just want to be able to educate women on alternatives,” DeYoung said.

The event will provide information on work-at-home opportunities with direct sales companies, and is slated for 2 to 4:30 p.m. Feb. 1 at the Jewish Community Center of Greater New Haven, in the community room at 360 Amity Road. Admission is $20 per person and registrations are being taken at www.MetromomEvent.com.
