Today we have been seeing a lot of people starting up their own business wether it be accidental or on purpose due to needing more income. A recent article was posted by myself regarding how women have a higher rate of entrepreneurship. So where are they getting the financing to help support their businesses? A new grant is set specifically for women entrepreneurs.
Yahoo! Small Business and entrepreneur Carolyn Kepcher have announced a new grant program to promote women’s entrepreneurship enabled by the Internet. The new program is called “Seeds for Success: Empowering Women Entrepreneurs.
This new grant will give 3 women entrepreneurs business grants that include cash, mentor ship and technical services that are all valued at more than $25,000 each. Kepcher will help select the grant winners and connect them with their mentors. In addition to this grant, yahoo services will in turn reward the winners with a large array of web design and marketing services.
