Karen Tennant has found the perfect recipe for raising extra income in a recession. The former stay-at-home mom is now a consultant for Pampered Chef, selling and demonstrating culinary products in the comfort of other people’s homes.
Since she loves home entertaining, it’s the perfect mix.
With cost-cutting menus, she says, it’s a great way to save on eating out.
“What I can do”, Karen says, “is go into people’s homes and show them how they can keep everybody at home, and save a few bucks. ”
Karen cooked up the idea of working for Pampered Chef after bumping into longtime consultant Jennifer Horton. In an economic bust, Jennifer says her business is booming.
“I actually have not been affected in any way”, she says, smiling.
