For El Chico’s Mexican Cafe lovers, there is bad news: The remaining restaurant in Texarkana has closed.
Bill Watson, vice president of marketing for the Tex-Mex chain, said the franchisee elected to close the store.
“It’s just as sad for us as it is for our customers in Texarkana,†Watson said.
The restaurant, on Realtor Road at Interstate 30, closed its doors last weekend. A sign simply stating “Sorry, we are closed†has been posted on both entrances.
