SONIC, America’s Drive-In, a restaurant where you order your meal and eat right from the comfort of your own vehicle, opened its first drive-in in Franklin Township, Somerset County, reads a recent press release from the E. A. Boniakowski Agency, Inc. in Green Brook.
On Tuesday morning, December 15, 2009, SONIC personnel and guests watched as the ceremonial ribbon cutting signaled the Grand Opening of the new SONIC Drive-In Restaurant located at 3331 Route 27 in Franklin Park.
The local franchisee group is headed by Thomas Mascia of Green Brook. “We are thrilled to open the first SONIC in Franklin Township,†said Mascia. We look forward to serving the community and delivering the fun Carhop service SONIC Drive-Ins are know for across the country.â€
