HomeVestors, The “We Buy Ugly Houses” Company,” Names Houston Franchisee As “Franchise Of The Year”

HomeVestors® of America, Inc., known as the “We Buy Ugly Houses®” company, announced that WFI Properties, Inc. of Houston was recognized as “Franchise of the Year” at the HomeVestors Annual Convention in December. In addition, WFI Properties was named the “Top Closer for 2009” in recognition of the large number of homes they purchased.

“Success at HomeVestors isn’t just about buying, rehabbing and selling houses, it’s about building a multifaceted investment property business that’s sustainable, valuable and profitable, and that others like doing business with,” said David Hicks, co-president of HomeVestors of America. “WFI Properties has done that. This award recognizes the franchise that builds the best business.”

WFI Properties is one of 11 Houston-area HomeVestors franchisees. WFI is a family affair, with father Rickey Williams, Sr., 48, and sons Rickey, Jr., 27, and Chris, 24, all highly involved in day-to¬day operations. Rickey, Jr. is the company’s main home buyer. Rickey, Sr. manages home-purchase closings, retail sales and financing. Chris handles rehab construction activities and management of the company’s rental properties.
