Hastens, a Swedish luxury bed-maker, plans to open
12 franchised outlets pan India by the end of 2012. The company has recently opened its third franchised outlet in Ahmedabad. The outlet offers close to 11 models of hand-made beds from natural materials like horse hair, pine wood, ranging between Rs 2.5 to Rs 13 lakh.
Hastens forayed the Indian market in 2008 by opening its first outlet in Hyderabad, followed by another store in Mumbai. The company is looking forward to open one dozen outlets out of which two would be opened shortly in cities of Delhi and Bengaluru.
