Weight-management marketing company Herbalife Ltd reported on Monday the receipt of five additional licenses to conduct the company’s direct-selling business in the provinces of Jiangxi, Liaoning, Henan, Jilin and Chongqing with immediate effect.
This additional approval was granted by China’s Ministry of Commerce.
The company claimed the 16 provinces under its direct-selling licenses represent an addressable population of approximately 844m.
Additionally, the company currently operates 75 retail stores in 30 provinces in China.
