The Cleveland State Small Business Development Center and FranNet are presenting a free educational seminar on starting your own business and franchising at the Cleveland Bradley County Library on Wednesday, Oct. 27, from 2 to 3:30 p.m.
Brenda Sheehy, Director of the SBDC, and Jerry Bird, East Tennessee franchise specialist with FranNet will be discussing the advantages and disadvantages of both concepts.
Sheehy is going to provide a step-by-step path to follow in order to own and operate a small business. This path includes evaluating your abilities, validating your business concept, understanding your profit potential, determining your financing potential, writing your business plan, etc.
