An Amateur photographer turned his hobby into a business after being made redundant.

Brian Ellwood from Newton Aycliffe decided to go down the franchising route and is running his own business as part of the national brand Barrett and Coe.

He received advice and support from Be Enterprising and Be Franchising, the publicly-funded organisations helping start-ups in County Durham.

He also worked with Be Enterprising’s Enterprise Coaching Project to help him grasp the nitty-gritty of running a firm.
