Sure, it’s the taste of Lutfi’s Fried Fish that has brought folks back for nearly 15 years and has the owner franchising locations around town.
But Lutfi Khalifah said customer service still came first.
“You are my boss. In business, that’s what separates you: the willingness to correct something even if you are right and someone else is wrong,†Khalifah said. “Then they know you care.â€
Khalifah’s older brother came up with a fish batter so good that in the late 1970s he opened Fish Captain, a restaurant on Prospect Avenue, to feature it. The teenage Khalifah would run orders to customers’ cars. Read more.
