On May 15, Original Tommy’s will offer 65-cent Original Tommy’s cheeseburger and Coca-Cola combos in Los Angeles at Beverly and Rampart boulevards to celebrate its 65th anniversary.
The hamburger chain was established in Southern California in 1946 by Tommy Koulax. The first Original Tommy’s was (and still is) located on the corner of Beverly and Rampart.
In 2011, Original Tommy’s began celebrating 65 years at 33 restaurant locations across California and Nevada through a special Tommy Tuesday promotion in which a secret word is revealed weekly to give customers a 65-cent menu item on Tuesdays. The 65-cent menu item is voted upon by Facebook fans. The ongoing Tommy Tuesday promotion is only valid for specific locations which rotate weekly.
