Fitness franchise Jetts has just celebrated its 100th store with double outlet openings in Gympie and Laurimar. Now with 101 clubs in the system, Jetts Fitness has 40 additional openings scheduled across the country this year. By the end of 2012 there are plans for 250 clubs to open, which will position a club within eight minutes of 80 per cent of Australians. Expansion into Asia is expected within 18 months.
Founder and managing director of Jetts Fitness, Brendon Levenson, said the introduction of Jetts in 2007 had revolutionised the Australian fitness landscape by eliminating lengthy gym contracts and offering members low fees and 24/7 access.
