Philadelphia Franchise Claims “Logo Looting”

TheFranchiseHound.com:

With 15 locations along the East Coast, Slack’s Hoagie Shack has become popular in its own right. That’s why Dennis Slack, the founder of the sandwich shop, was very surprised to see a logo almost identical to his on the ABC hit show “Cougar Town”.

In an episode that aired April 27th, a logo for a fictional Mel’s Hoagie Hut appeared on screen and was way too similar to Slack’s to have been an accident. It’s being called a case of “logo looting”.

In an interview with Philadelphia’s NBC 10 Slack said, “Customers, especially female customers were coming in and saying, ‘I think I saw your logo on television last night.’” When he went home he searched for the Cougar Town clip on YouTube to see for himself.
