Ten franchise owners of Giordano’s restaurants stand accused in a lawsuit of using unauthorized ingredients that vary from the pizza chain’s secret recipe.
The troubled company’s bankruptcy trustee claims in the suit, filed Wednesday, that nine suburban franchises and one in the city don’t purchase pizza dough and sauce from the agreed provider and possibly make the ingredients themselves.
“When you walk into a Giordano’s location, you expect a Giordano’s pizza,†said Philip Martino, the trustee. Read more.
