Mike and Jeni Mand took over an existing Pump It Up location in Plymouth, Minnesota, in July of 2009 and have since seen a 55% increase in revenue year over year. The husband and wife team has successfully introduced new programs that specifically target the teenage population which is a major contributor to the increase in sales that they have experienced. The Mands host “Glow” parties and Jump ‘N Jam parties that have taken their customer base that consisted of 7% of kids that were 9 years old and older in 2009 to a current customer base that consists of 15-17% of kids that are 9 and older. Reaching out to a new demographic has been their key to success.
