Delmarva Daily Times:
Seven-Eleven Inc. opens a location later this month on South Salisbury Boulevard as part of an aggressive growth plan to saturate Maryland’s Eastern Shore and southern Delaware with convenience stores.
A 7-Eleven store under construction south of Bateman Street is set to open Sept. 26, bringing the far southern end of bustling South Salisbury Boulevard its first convenience store. The store is across the street from Salisbury University and the newly-built Sea Gull Square student residential complex and retail center, meeting a corporate mission to locate in close proximity to college campuses.
“We are opening a lot of stores around college campuses,†said Margaret Chabris, director of corporate communications at the Dallas-based 7-Eleven. “One of the areas we look at is where stores operate successfully. We are opening a lot of stores —period — around the world and in the United States.â€
