10 Principles to Live by That Will Change Your Life Forever

Feel like you need make some changes in how you live your life? It’s as simple as applying these ten rules to your everyday situations:

10. Take a chance

Life is a game of chance, whether you’re doing something fun like playing slot games on SuperCasino or leaving your job to start working from home on a passionate business venture; if you don’t take that chance you never know where it could have lead.

9. Never eat lunch at your desk, if you can avoid it

Make time for yourself, you deserve it. If you don’t move away from your desk at work you’re limiting time which you could spend reading a good book, catching up with work colleagues and making new friends or simply going out for a brisk walk to get some fresh air. Plus, it’s really unhygienic to eat at your desk.

8. Keep secrets

It’s important in life that you can be considered trust worthy by those around you, so if a friend tells you a small secret or some news that they don’t want breaking yet keep your mouth closed. Plus you’ll get to hear the exciting news first if people think they can trust you!

7. Don’t pose with a drink or cigarette in your hand

Sure, some of your most memorable nights or events with friends have involved alcohol, but when you look back on those photos ten years later how will you feel when you see that half burnt cigarette in one hand and very large glass of wine in the other, whilst you peer at the camera with bleary eyes and messed up hair? Put the drink down when the camera comes out and for your own health consider limiting how much you smoke. Your body will thank you later.

6. If you don’t understand, ask before it’s too late

Never feel embarrassed to ask a question, whether it’s at work or at home because if you don’t understand the instructions things could get even more awkward later.

5. Never answer the phone at the dinner table

In this technology fuelled world we are becoming an increasingly rude race. Think about those around you, they don’t want to hear your loud phone conversation and your dinner guests don’t want to be ignored whilst you take a call. Apply this rule to every social gathering in life, make time for people and put the tech away. Or better yet, turn it off.

4. Never ask a woman if she’s pregnant

It’s very simple, think before you speak. Words can have a lasting effect on people so if a woman looks pregnant and you’re not sure, don’t ask. She could be bloated or have gained a little weight. In fact, just don’t comment on people’s weight in general.

3. Know at least one good joke

Always have a good joke to break the ice with, just make sure it’s so corny it’s funny and isn’t offensive in any way. If you’re not a great storyteller then keep it short.

Good example: Two fish are in a tank. One asks, “how do you drive this thing?”

2. You only get one chance to notice a new haircut

Start taking notice of what’s happening around you. Compliment someone on a new haircut as soon as you notice it. Forget about awkwardness, the person receiving the compliment will always be flattered.

1. If you’ve made your point stop talking

We’ll stand by that comment and end things there.
