Traveling Teddy Bears

By on March 3, 2010 in Ideas

I’ve always wanted to send one of my children’s favorite stuffed animals on a round the world trip. The idea of getting back emails and photos from “Clifford” or “Puppy” showing them propped up in front of a variety of famous international landmarks always seemed like a great idea. At least it was until I casually mentioned it to my children. They were almost traumatized by the idea of their favorite cuddle objects running away and seeing the world!

So it’s a no go for me, but if you’re interested, you might want to check out the company Toy Traveling in Prauge, Czech Republic. It bills itself as a travel agency for teddy bears. For a fee, you send them your teddy bear and they’ll send back photos of him posing in front of a number of Czech landmarks. Afterwards, they’ll ship him back to you.

Let me know how it works out for you.

More importantly, could you do the same thing in your community?

What a cute idea! Maybe once they’re older they won’t mind if you send their stuffed animals for a little trip? :-)

that is a cute idea and would be cool to show your little tike where their bear has been. However, i can see where they would have some anxiety towards sending their bear off to see the world though…i mean what if it doesn’t come back to them? is there some sort of clause that accounts for the just in case that happens to someone’s bear?
