Beautiful Brands International (BBI) announced today an agreement with Tulsa-based Daylight Donut Flour Company, parent company of Dixie Cream Donuts, to franchise and market the Dixie Cream Donuts brand.
“We consider this partnership to be a perfect opportunity to do for the donut industry what we’ve done in the fast casual sandwich category with Camille’s Sidewalk CafÃ©, frozen yogurt category with FreshBerry Frozen Yogurt CafÃ©, and gourmet hot dog and burger segments,” said David Rutkauskas, BBI Founder, President and CEO. “Our goal is to utilize a tested business model to grow a brand with enormous potential for revenue growth. Through years of research and integrated application, Beautiful Brands has developed state-of-the-art systems that will be focused and applied directly to the donut industry.”
The agreement between Dixie Cream Donuts and Beautiful Brands will utilize BBI’s organizational system and support to energize the Dixie Cream Donuts brand and its viability in the industry. BBI support will include product development, marketing, real estate, architecture, legal, franchise sales, and other aspects of franchise development. The first corporate store will open in spring 2009.
