Franchise Key:
Snap-on Tools has announced that is on the look-out for franchisees in Germany. According to the company, its franchise concept is of great interest to people who have not got experience of the branch as all new franchisees are given comprehensive training in all areas of the business. Once the franchise agreement has been signed, the new franchisee takes part in a one-week theory course followed by two weeks of practical training. This is then rounded off by on-the-job training with an experienced Snap-on field manager which lasts for several weeks.
Snap-on Tools has been active on the German market since the 70s and, the company says, a generation changeover is currently taking place. This makes the business even more interesting for new franchisees as they are able to take over established areas from those retiring. One such example is the territory of Berlin.
There are currently 450 Snap-on franchisees in the UK and 5,500 in the USA where the franchise was first set up. Proof, the company says, that there is still great potential for growth in Germany where there are, at present, 52 franchisees.
