NASA has had a pee cycling concept for years now, however, it has yet to make it to the consumers shelves for general sale as the price tag on their model is $250,000. A newer model has  recently been developed by Leonardo Manavella to turn your pee into drinkable water.

The technical version of how this machine work’s is unclear at the moment due to some issues with translation, but the basic concept is that you pee on the activated carbon, apply strong pressure to the sides of the machine (such as squeezing it with your knees) and there you have it, water that is suitable and safe for drinking.

This would be an ideal invention for such situations like camping, if you are stranded somewhere, if you live in an area where water is not safe to drink  or if you simply do not want to waste your body liquids and would rather put them to good use.
