Are you a freelancer who seems to hit a wall every avenue that you turn down? Does it seem like no matter what you do during your day something always goes wrong and you just don’t have the success that you think you should? Maybe your making one or more of the following mistakes that often times cripple your success. Visit Freelance Folder for the complete list of common mistakes made.
- Not making the most of your time. Often as a freelancer people get into the mindset that they have all day and all night to complete a project, so they go about their business doing other things and before they know it they have 1 hour to complete the project at hand. Always plan your days in advance and make the most of the time you have.
- Always looking for a shortcut to success. Don’t spend all of your free time looking for other successful freelancers shortcuts to success. Just because it worked for them does not mean it will work for you. Sometimes the best thing to do is to keep doing what you have been doing and maybe do a little tweaking here and there to boost your success.
- Not Measuring What is Working. Just like it’s possible you may be casting your net too wide and still missing all the fish, there’s also a good chance you’re spending time on things which don’t benefit you at all. Possible examples of this could be writing blog posts, commenting on other sites, participating in forums and battling for jobs on freelance marketplaces.
