Berkshire Calloway announced today that it was finally releasing its widely anticipated microchiseâ„¢ product to the market. The development of the product had been in the works since late 2008. Berkshire Calloway received a Trademark for the Microchiseâ„¢ name, and has four patents pending on the business model.
Pierce De La Rocha, E.V.P. of Operations was quoted as saying “we believe, after collaborating with our corporate attorney’s that we will receive a patent on this concept and business model that will not only be applicable to the Personal and Leadership Development Industry, but will transcend across into each industry where franchising takes placeâ€. The microchiseâ„¢ was originally set for release in the first quarter of 2009, however there were some delays in developing the ‘micro-sites’ (individual website for each microchiseâ„¢ owners that is provided free of charge and is attached directly to the central website).
Greg Steinaker, Founder was quoted “we were disappointed that the release of this completely brand new concept to the world of franchising was delayed until the 4th quarter of 2009, but it was something that was completely out of our hands and we had no control over it. Full post.
