A partnership between Leduc area Mary Kay consultants and Riseup Ministries has raised funds to help stop domestic violence and provide support for victims.On April 26 Mary Kay consultant Mary Lou Hill (pictured left) presented a cheque for $1,100 to Joanne Van Beek of Riseup Ministries. The money was the total proceeds raised during the June Langford Helping Hands Campaign that took place over the holiday season. After customers bought the hand cream, Hill and her colleague Shirley Klejno asked them to donate it back so that it could be resold – in an effort to double the fundraising dollars.
