Focus Point Eyes More Franchising Deals In Indonesia

Malaysia Star:

Eyewear-based Focus Point Holdings Bhd is finalising franchising deals in Indonesia as the group seeks to expand its business across Southeast Asia.

“Currently, we have already set up three branches in Brunei. We are in the midst of finalising franchise deals in Indonesia,” president of Focus Point Holdings Bhd group Datuk Liaw Choon Liang said after its AGM on Wednesday.

The chief executive officer of Focus Point Vision Care Sdn Bhd, Kim Ng said: “We would definitely like to grow our business across Southeast Asia but we will be very careful in choosing our franchisees. The potential partners must be professional and committed.” As to whether there were plans to expand in Malaysia, she said the group was cautious due to the uncertainties in the economy and competitive retail market.
