Single Mom Invents MagnaMole

Scunthorpe Telegraph:

A 39-YEAR-old single mother from Scunthorpe will enter the Dragons’ Den for a TV grilling which could help her make her fortune.

Sharon Wright will be seen by millions on the programme, which has entrepreneurs pitching for investment from some of Britain’s top business brains.

Sharon came up with her MagnaMole cable threading tool invention after seeing engineers struggle to install a cable through a cavity wall in her house.

The product she developed as a solution has since been showered with honours everywhere from north Lincolnshire to Moscow and attracted interest from big companies around the world.

Sharon has even travelled to New York to meet an American company confident of selling a million of the units a year.

The latest international exposure for Sharon and her invention follows further new interest from major companies.

An order from USA-based Verizon, one of the biggest telecommunications companies in the world, is now expected imminently, and this could run into hundreds of thousands of MagnaMole units.
